Artist statement
For me the whole world is like a mosaic: all the different people, from different countries and cultures, variations in nature, all species of animals, stars, planets etc form together the world. My mosaics are small worlds, where the tesserae meet, reflect, colour, struggle, create new ideas and new adventures. There is no end to it. Each mosaic is the start of another one, it lives, just like the world lives, moves, grows and develops. I try to catch this world.
In my mosaics I use different structures to create a kind of peaceness around me. The world is crowded and restless, nevertheless I try to capture and reflect the quietness around me.
